After nearly two decades working across art, innovation, and brand, I saw a gap. Technologies like real-time rendering and virtual production were transforming how content could be made — faster, smarter, more immersive. But in Asia, and especially here in Hong Kong, there was no home for that kind of work. No studio that combined cinematic craft with next-generation tools.

In 2021, I co-founded Votion Studios with support from Vobile Group to build exactly that. A future-facing production company, designed for the next era of content creation.

From the beginning, Votion was never just about making great visuals. It was about building infrastructure. Creative systems that empower artists, brands, and storytellers to work with more speed, flexibility, and control.

We designed our studio from the ground up. LED volumes. Motion control robotics. High-speed cinema gear. A full-stack team of technologists, artists, and producers. Every element was chosen with intention, built to support a new creative model where technical precision meets visual ambition.

But more importantly, we built it here in Hong Kong because we believe in this city’s potential. World-class production shouldn’t be limited to LA, London, or Seoul. It should live here too — and it should be accessible to the next generation of regional talent.

Today, Votion works across music, fashion, film, tech, and education. We’ve helped global brands reimagine how they show up. We’ve supported artists in pushing visual boundaries. And we’ve partnered with educators to help students build future-ready skills.

We’re still growing. And we’re just getting started. Our foundation is in virtual production and immersive workflows, but our sights are set on what’s next — from AI-assisted creativity to real-time pipelines and new storytelling formats.
